If you keep yourself updated in the doggie world, it may be a little frightening to know how many recalls are made on food for our favorite four-legged family members.
In the most recent news, there has been a recall for a single lot of Stella and Chewy’s Chicken Freeze-Dried Dinner Patties for Dogs, 15 oz. bags, due to a detection of Listeria monocytogenes. There were no reported pet or human illnesses associated with this recall, however, the company is voluntarily recalling all products from the lot (#111-15).
Although we do carry this product in the store, we want to assure you that we DO NOT and HAVE NOT carried any batches that were detected with the bacterium. The company has no reason to believe that any other product other than this one has been affected as the production area is cleaned and sanitized nightly. However, if you feel any hesitancy in feeding their food, please bring back their product for a full refund of the purchase price.
